Teaching childrens martial arts classes can be extremely challenging at times. Instructors will have a difficult time with children if they lack imagination and creativity. Children respond better to instructors that are creative and imaginative. There are some instructors whose scare tactic teaching works with children; however, it will be a better class to do almost the opposite. Kids actually love discipline; no matter how much they say they don’t they like things to be systemized and structured. The reason why they like it is because there is little thinking. The trick for instructors is to find a way to systemized and structured their class without teaching kids through fear.
